Seventh Year Touhou Project Fan

Well now, this project of mine took much longer to complete than I ever thought possible in all my time doing these. As aforementioned aplenty now: school, life, and lack of Internet for the past few months now have completely gotten in the way. Had I be able to find proper time to sit down and finish it earlier, I would have done so. In any case, here it is, my 7^th (celebrated) year as a Touhou fan. Finished and finally here for you all to see.

This time it felt like I was making edits to this through both create.swf and Paint.NET. Really I think it turned out neat because of this, I had a lot of materials to work with this time around, but I still think that these would be more amazing should I get ahold of something like Photoshop, but blazes if I can invest in something like that.

So at the time, before I wanted to start this project, I needed to complete a big custom Walfas project. And a big reason I wanted to finish it is so I could add the custom characters you see here. Truthfully this picture is also a testament to my own desires to have the Touhou fans care for those that are unloved, I don’t know how I've personally come to enjoy characters like these kinds of characters so much, but I understand that almost all Touhou characters have the potential to be fantastic in the hands of fans. In this sense I've come to attribute this factor to every Touhou character.

I've seen thousands of reason someone can love a character in Touhou, and I have a thousand reasons why I love Touhou characters as well, and even some of these reason found their way to all of the characters, including unpopular/unloved ones.

Honestly I want to be able to contribute to Touhou, and its colorful cast, in my own way. After all, it’s because of Touhou that I am who I am. Because I am so inspired on my own initiative, I do want to give back to the Touhou community and the series that has done so much for me. The level in which some of us are able to contribute can be lesser than what others can do on a day by day basis, but you can be darn sure that I’m incredibly happy to have a place in the Walfas community to contribute. So far, this has been my stand-point in the endeavor to contribute.

I could gush, but with the last few celebration pictures and what I've said there, I’m sure you've come to expect that much of what I've said about Touhou already, still applies. Soon though I might reach a point where my focus has to be on my own life, but you can be sure I’m content with the fact that Touhou has been my stepping stone into furthering my own life. Touhou will continue to be my subcultural lifestyle here on the Internet. I am forever thankful to ZUN for that, I have so much to look forwards to because of him.

Being gone long was droning, but returns are always nice.
